This was a special day for a very special couple. I remember getting married 11 years ago on a very nice Fall day such as this one so Fall weddings are my favorite!
This couple choose to get married at the Cutten Club in Guelph where the food is AMAZING!. I know their mother especially well as she and I are close friends so it was an honer to be able to be the wedding harpist for her son’s wedding. I included several pictures of this wedding as there were a few unique things that I enjoyed about it. First were the flowers on the little flower girls purses instead of a traditional flower basket or flower balls. Also I was fascinated by their traditional Danish Wedding cake and loved how the bride was brave enough to incorporate that into her day. I think it’s so important to be true to your heritage and culture in a day in age when every wants what every one else has. I also love how they added their own twist to the candy buffet. They are both chemists and so they literally brought beakers and test tubes from work and put candy in them for the candy buffet! I enjoyed this day from beginning to end. I loved every little personal touch even the ‘fish themed’ seating chart and table names because the groom LOVES fishing. I thought it was very sweet of the bride to include that as part of their day. I also enjoyed spending this day of work and fun with my wonderful husband. The food at the Cutten Club is amazing I can’t emphasize that enough because believe me I do eat a lot of ‘venue’ food and I don’t comment on most of it. The Kutten Club is a great place to have an intimate wedding with a wedding harpist to play for a romantic ceremony and a outdoor cocktail hour to follow. I highly recommend this venue and would love to play harp there again especially if I am invited to dinner YUM!
